At Posner Brown College Counseling, we understand that applying to colleges and universities in the United States is an exciting—but often overwhelming—experience for international students and their families. Our goal is to provide expert, culturally sensitive guidance every step of the way. What Sets Us Apart Steven Brown, our lead consultant, grew up and attended high school in La Paz, Bolivia. His international upbringing, along with his multicultural lens and bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, make him uniquely equipped to support families navigating cross-border admissions. Building a Strategic College List: Identify institutions that align with your student’s academic interests, personal values, and financial considerations—including those that welcome and support international students. Application Support Across Time Zones We work flexibly across time zones and schedules to provide essay guidance, application review, and interview prep that fits your family’s needs. Visa and Documentation Advice We help explain the process of obtaining I-20 forms, student visas (F-1), and understanding what U.S. institutions require for financial documentation and proof of support. Navigating Scholarships & Financial Aid While aid for international students is limited at many schools, we help identify merit-based opportunities and institutions with strong international student funding.
