Junior Year College Counseling Package
$7,500 - Strategic planning & application guidance for students entering or currently in junior year
Service Description
Junior year is the most consequential phase of the college admissions process. This package is designed for students who are entering—or already in—junior year and want clear strategy, steady guidance, and thoughtful decision-making during a year when academic, testing, and college-planning choices begin to carry real weight. I work directly with students and families to bring structure to an often overwhelming process. Together, we focus on academic positioning, testing strategy, early college exploration, and long-term planning so that students move into senior year with clarity, confidence, and a well-defined plan. Students typically begin this package anytime from the summer before junior year through January of junior year, depending on when planning needs become most pressing. What’s Included: Academic & Extracurricular Strategy A thorough review of academic records and extracurricular involvement, with strategic recommendations focused on course rigor, balance, leadership development, and alignment with long-term college goals. Junior-Year Planning Roadmap A clear, structured plan for junior year that identifies priorities, key milestones, and decision points—helping students stay focused and avoid unnecessary stress as expectations increase. Project Management & Personalized Check-Ins Ongoing oversight of timelines and planning checkpoints, with regular meetings to ensure progress, accountability, and alignment throughout junior year. Introductory College Exploration Development of an initial, exploratory college list grounded in student interests, academic profile, and financial context. This early work helps students begin to understand fit and lays the foundation for more targeted list-building in senior year. Essay Foundations & Writing Preparation Early introduction to college essay expectations, including brainstorming, narrative development, and practice prompts designed to build confidence and reduce senior-year pressure. Family-Focused Financial Planning Initial conversations around college affordability, including a financial inventory, cost awareness, and early merit-aid considerations to support informed decision-making. This package provides consistent, expert-led guidance throughout junior year, helping students enter senior year with a clear strategy and strong foundation and giving families reassurance that key decisions are being made thoughtfully and intentionally.
